SkyStray is an independent game by Sam Mayell. If you sign up, we store your email address, signup time, your consent and campaign tags in the link you followed. We use these to send SkyStray development and launch updates and understand which links bring people to the game.

Your email stays with this game.

We do not sell your address or add it to other games’ lists. The site uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure to host the website and store signups. An email delivery provider may process your address when updates are sent.

You can leave.

Every marketing email must include an unsubscribe link. Using it removes your email from this site’s signup list. To ask for access to or deletion of your data before receiving an email, contact Sam through @sammayell on X.

Player feedback.

The feedback board stores the nickname, post, replies, game version, platform and source you submit, together with submission times and review status. Posts wait for review before appearing publicly. Your nickname is not a verified identity; only owner replies receive the Developer label. Do not include private contact details, credentials or personal files. Feedback is not added to the email update list.

Feedback is kept while the board is active. For correction or removal, contact hello@skystray.com with the discussion link. Hidden posts remain in the private review queue; deletion requests are handled separately. Feedback uses a separate, short-lived hashed network identifier to limit spam, expiring after two hours. No original IP is stored in the feedback database.

Voting on what comes next.

The priority vote uses a first-party browser cookie, lasting up to one year, to remember your ballot. We store a hash of its random identifier, your current choice, submission times and a broad referral source such as website, game or Discord. Public results contain totals only. No email address or player account is collected. You can change or remove your vote in the same browser. Clearing cookies loses that access; for help, contact hello@skystray.com. Individual ballots are retained until you remove them or we retire this poll; aggregate totals may be kept. A separate hashed network limit expires after two hours. No original IP is stored in the voting database.

Basic site operation.

The signup form uses a short-lived, hashed network identifier to limit spam. We do not store the original IP in the signup database. These limits expire after two hours. We do not use advertising trackers. Studio authentication is provided by Sign in with ChatGPT and is restricted to the owner.

Addresses are kept while the SkyStray update list is active, until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
